Columbus Aero Service Avionics Department
The Columbus Aero Service Avionics Department is lead by Tony Skahan; who got his start in aviation in 1991 while serving in the U.S. Army. After a successful term of service, he joined the civilian life and immediately began working in General Aviation. He has worked all over the country, serving in every technician role. From flightline troubleshooting and repair and bench repair to installation technician. He also managed a Part 145 Avionics repair station for 11 years, engineering new avionics retrofits as well as facilitating the troubleshooting and repair of existing avionics systsems for the company's customer base. His experience ranges from singles and light twins to turbprops, helicoptors and light Jets. He is well versed in products from Garmin, PS Engineering, Aspen, Bendix/King, Collins, Northern Airborne Technologies, L3, Trig Avionics, Avidyne, Mid Continent, Century, STEC/Genesys, etc. Tony joined us here at Columbus Aero Service in 2022 and currently oversees our team of professional, Garmin trained installation technicians.
